David Lee Scher, MD,FACP, FACC, FHRS, is Founder and Director at DLS HEALTHCARE CONSULTING, LLC advising digital health companies and their partnering institutions, companies, and providers. Dr. Scher, with his cumulative experience as a cardiac electrophysiologist, clinical investigator, IRB Chair, and Medicare Carrier Advisory Board member brings a unique perspective to his clients. As a pioneer adopter of remote patient monitoring (RPM) technology over 13 years ago, Scher became an astute observer and expert on clinical, financial, and marketplace barriers to the adoption of RPM and other digital technologies. The company advises investors, healthcare systems, and medical device companies on adoption of digital health technologies. Dr. Scher recently served as Chair of a Blue Ribbon Panel commissioned by Happtique which developed standards in the areas of safety, operability, privacy, and content for the certification of medical apps.
